The Northeast Colorado Regional EMS Trauma Advisory Council (NCRETAC) is a consortium of 9 counties in Northeast Colorado, dedicated to fostering and supporting the development of cooperative and cost-effective regional emergency medical trauma systems. Covering a vast area of 17,434.35 square miles, NCRETAC serves a diverse population of 691,118 residents across counties that range from sparsely populated to experiencing significant growth.
With representation from both pre-hospital and facilities, the NCRETAC board of directors works diligently to ensure equal representation per county and prioritize patient care as their primary goal. As a liaison between care providers and the Colorado Department of Public Health Environment, NCRETAC tackles various challenges faced by emergency medical and trauma services, including changing regulations, reimbursement changes, recruitment and retention, and all hazards planning, aiming to assist agencies in delivering improved patient care.
