Redemptoris Mater Seminary is an international diocesan missionary seminary that was established in Denver, Colorado in 1996. It is one of the seven Redemptoris Mater seminaries in the United States and is governed by the current norms for the formation and incardination of diocesan clerics. The seminary offers a comprehensive formation program that combines philosophical and theological studies with an emphasis on prayer, community life, and manual work, preparing seminarians for the universal mission of the priesthood.
Located in the Old Red Brick Building, the seminary has undergone renovations to accommodate the needs of its formation program. It features a chapel dedicated to the Holy Family of Nazareth, a cloister with classrooms, and a seminary extension with additional bedrooms, a kitchen, refectory, and atrium. The seminary also houses the Mysteric Crown, an impressive cycle of icons, and a first stone taken from the sepulcher of St. Peter in Rome, symbolizing its communion with Rome in the New Evangelization. Since its establishment, Redemptoris Mater Seminary has ordained 22 men to the priesthood, with some serving in overseas missionary assignments.
