Creative Arts Studio

Creative Arts Studio, established in 1987, is an accredited preschool and child care center that emphasis on art and music. It offers instruction based on the principles of Reggio Emilia that focuses on each child in relation to other children, the family, the teachers and the community, rather than each child in isolation. The school s music curriculum promotes concept and motor development. It offers children an opportunity to explore a variety of art media from painting to sculpture and printmaking. The school organizes various drama productions for its preschoolers and kindergarteners during the academic year. Creative Arts Studio is located in Woodbury, Conn. The school s early childhood programs are approved by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs that administers a national, voluntary, professionally sponsored accreditation system for all types of schools and child care centers.
