Center Gold has a full time jeweler on staff. Richard Davi opened his first jewelry store in 1973 at the Republic Flea Market in Farmingdale, NY. In 1989, he relocated and opened a new store in Lindenhurst, NY. While driving on Middle Country Road in Centereach one day, Richard’s wife Joyce noticed a for sale sign on an old building dating back to 1931. Appreciating the beauty and history of the building, Richard and Joyce bought the building in 1999. Center Gold opened its doors shortly after. Ten years later In 2009 the second location, East Islip Jewelers opened its doors for business. What sets Center Gold apart from other jewelry stores is their quality craftsmanship, integrity, years of experience and year-round honest pricing. “I don’t inflate a price on an item then offer a false 30 percent off sale,” said Richard. Besides a high standard of customer service, Center Gold offers a seven day full refund on any item you purchase. Most jewelry stores offer store credit only and no returns. Richard is a member of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), a life member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA), an authorized member of the Professional Coin Grading Association (PCGS) member of the National Pawnbrokers Association (NPA) member Numismatic Guarantee Corp. (NGC), a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. As an active member of the community, Richard donates to local charities and is a member of the Middle Country Chamber of Commerce. The future of the jewelry business is changing rapidly. Richard explained, “We have expanded our internet sales and custom design work and are no longer a mom and pop store, but rather a 21st century jewelry store."
