Dr. Richo is a Board-Certified orthopaedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in foot and ankle surgery and reconstructive surgery of the foot. He earned a B.S. in Biology from Yale University where he was also a member of the Yale Freshman football team. He then began a research career at The Rockefeller University followed by a doctoral degree in Cell Biology from the University of Miami. Upon completion of his thesis, he matriculated to the University Of Miami School Of Medicine where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. His Orthopaedic residency was completed at UMDNJ-University Hospital, Newark, New Jersey where he was selected to the prestigious position of administrative chief resident. Upon completion of residency, he extended his surgical training in foot and ankle surgery by completing a fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital and the University of Pennsylvania. During this fellowship he was involved in the care of athletes from Villanova University, the Philadelphia 76ers, and dancers from the Pennsylvania Ballet. Dr. Richo’s interests include surgical reconstruction of tendon disorders of the foot and ankle, bunion and hammertoe surgery, care of the diabetic foot, and conservative and surgical care of sports related foot and ankle injuries. He also enjoys practicing general orthopaedics and arthroscopic procedures of the knee and shoulder.

Dr. Waller attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree, followed by the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, where he received his Medical Degree. Highlights of Dr. Waller’s residency included a six-month rotation through the Harvard system’s Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, for pediatric orthopaedic surgery; a rotation through The Elmhurst Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York, for orthopaedic trauma; and rotations through The Mt. Sinai Medical Center and The Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City for orthopaedic oncology. The Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Lenox Hill Hospital was also the home of The Nicholas Institute for Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma, which provided team coverage for the New York Jets football team, the New York Rangers and New York Islanders hockey teams, in addition to a number of other semi-professional and college-level sporting teams. Following his orthopaedic residency, Dr. Waller went on to complete the Joseph Boyes Orthopaedic Hand Surgery fellowship, the oldest orthopaedic hand surgery-training program in the country, at The University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.
