Laurel Ledge School

Founded in 1954, William H. Hatton Elementary School serves more than 430 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It has a staff of over 35 employees. The school has a computer laboratory and several computers in each classroom. William H. Hatton Elementary School has a parent-teacher organization that sponsors several events. It operates a library media center. William H. Hatton Elementary School also participated in the Relay for Life and Ronald McDonald House fund-raisers. Its students are involved with Presidential Academic Fitness Program, Presidential Physical Fitness Program and D.A.R.E. Program. The school features staff walking and ski clubs. It is governed by Southington Public Schools.

Pomperaug High School, located in Southbury, Conn., offers a variety of educational and extracurricular programs. It offers services to students in grades nine through 12, and has an enrollment of over 1,200 students. It offers a variety of subjects, such as language arts, mathematics, science, social science, music, fine arts and physical education. It also organizes various sports activities, including baseball, softball, football and basketball. Rochambeau Middle School offers a variety of courses in math, Spanish, family and consumer science, art, music, physical education and drama. It also offers technical education in computer-aided design and drafting. The school s family and consumer science classes offer information on sewing, cooking, ironing and other household necessities. Its drama classes focus on acting skills and stage development activities. Rochambeau Middle School also offers a range of sports programs, such as basketball, cheerleading, soccer, hockey, cross country and softball. It additionally provides guidance lessons on conflict resolution, career awareness and communication skills. The school also serves afternoon meals and conducts recognition dinners and musical concerts. Rochambeau Middle School is located in Southbury, Conn.
