American Ambulance Service has been providing EMS to the City of Norwich and is the exclusive EMS provider to the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and Foxwoods Resort Casino, the largest casino in the world.

Founded in 1945, Aetna Ambulance Service Inc. is a locally-owned and operated company, which provides emergency medical service and paramedic service to Wethersfield, Rocky Hill and the southern portion of the City of Hartford. It also provides non-emergency services to the region's eight major hospitals, medical and skilled nursing facilities and residences throughout the Greater Hartford area and Farmington Valley. Aetna Ambulance Service Inc. offers a wide range of services, including basic life support, advanced life support paramedics, bariatric ambulance transportation and licensed wheelchair coaches through its own wheelchair division.
