The MetroHartford Alliance is Hartford s Chamber of Commerce and one of the leading economic development organizations in Hartford, Conn. Formed in 2001, the alliance brings together over 1,000 businesses, education and healthcare institutions, municipalities, non-profit organizations, and government leaders for the economic growth of the Hartford region. It supports pro-growth legislation, helps local companies expand, assists start-ups, encourages government investment in key infrastructure assets, develops programs for young professionals, and recruits companies from out of state to build a presence in the Region.

The Community Renewal Team is an antipoverty agency that serves people and families throughout the state of Connecticut. The agency provides alternatives to incarceration, scattered-site housing, and supportive housing and shelter. In addition, it offers programs related to domestic violence supportive housing and community housing assistance. The Community Renewal Team provides community-based housing, shelter and related services to homeless families and battered women. In addition, the agency offers cottages, houses and other long-term therapeutic accommodation facilities for transitional residents. It offers several programs related to communities, social services, and youth and individual development. The Community Renewal Team also maintains family service centers and computer laboratories and operates a transitional residence program.
