Bordering the Mystic River, this complex features changing art exhibitions, special events and classes. A nonprofit organization created by an artist colony in 1913, the association boasts a membership of over 1,200 artists. Travelers can partake of one-day workshops or enjoy a day on the town while their children are educated and entertained in art classes.

Admission was free, and it was a great space to see pieces from both local artists and ones they had in residence. The gift shop was also a good place to purchase locally made items!

Small, but lovely museum in Mystic, CT. I got to see the "Printmaking and the Unconventional Pathways of African American Artists" exhibit which was awesome. Highly recommended. Admission is only $10.
