Circle Care Center’s mission is to provide the highest quality medical care to our patients in Connecticut, specializing in primary care for people living with HIV and the LGBTQI+ community, as well as HIV prevention (PrEP & PEP), Hepatitis C, and STI testing and treatment. In 2015, Circle Care Center began offering Gender Health and Therapy & Counseling.

Dr. Sharon Amir is an obstetrician and gynecologist who completed her medical school training at University of Maryland School of Medicine and her residency at Stamford Health. Dr. Amir is passionate about all aspects of women’s health and provides a range of care including pre- and postnatal, contraceptive, family planning, treatments for sexually transmitted diseases, and routine gynecologic care such as Pap smears and colposcopies. Dr. Amir also performs surgical procedures, including laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and open surgery. She was recognized with an award for excellence in minimally invasive surgery during her residency. Dr. Amir is committed to helping each patient through their respective health journey with an individualized approach. She believes in self-empowerment for her patients, encouraging them to ask questions and engage in decision making for their care.
