Based in Yonkers, N.Y., the company is one of the leading companies in the business catering to nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and home care settings worldwide. The company s product basket includes cushions for pressure relief, bed rail pads, skin protectors, mattresses, limb holders and smoker's aprons, to name a few. Additionally, Skil-Care Corporation provides training to caregivers and medical supply dealers in restraint reduction and elimination; seating and positioning; pressure relief; and regulatory compliance applications.

More than four decades ago, Busse Hospital Disposables was a pioneer in the emerging hospital disposables industry. The company remains as one of the innovators in the dynamic field of health care, providing some of the finest, most cost-effective disposables, procedure trays and items for patient care. Busse Hospital Disposables is located in Hauppauge, N.Y., where it employs nearly 235 people.

Our factory is located in Flushing, NY and we bend thousands of walking canes every day.It all started with Abraham Levy who was a silversmith in London, England where he catered to royalty. He would take up to one week or more to hand craft each specially ordered cane.He had one son Harry who was six months old when they came to America in 1882. Harry Levy followed his father's footsteps and began making umbrella handles for ten cents each. He soon found that by making the umbrella handles 30" longer he could sell them as canes for forty cents each. He needed the extra money to feed his eight children.Five of Harry's sons guided the business through the depression years, and into the industrial age. They changed the name from Harry Levy Co in 1964 to Harvy Surgical Supply by taking the HAR from Harry and the VY from Levy, keeping intact the firm foundation the Levy men had formed in generations past. Harry's sons later added a full line of medical products including crutches, walkers, wheelchairs and patient aids.Harry Levy had one daughter and today it is her son, Harvey Murtha, who leads the fourth generation. Harvey has added designer canes to the line and imported specialty canes from Europe and around the world. Today, Harvy Surgical Supply Corp is known for its quality products, excellent customer service and prompt fulfillment. As a manufacturer we are very responsive to our customers' needs and are fortunate to have a very loyal following.Harvy Surgical Supply is lucky to have Harvey's two sons, Paul and Scott in the business today.
