WCMG Danbury Gynecologic Oncology

Dr. David Doo is a fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist specializing in the screening, workup, diagnosis and treatment of cancers of the ovary, uterus, cervix, vagina and vulva. He strives to provide compassionate, individualized care to his patients to ensure the best possible experience and outcomes. Dr. Doo’s surgical expertise includes traditional laparoscopy, robotic surgery, cancer debulking, sentinel lymph node mapping and advanced pelvic surgery. His current academic appointments include assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology and associate program director of the minimally invasive gynecologic surgery fellowship at Danbury Hospital and Norwalk Hospital. When not in the operating room, Dr. Doo enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters.

Dr. Ravneet Bajwa is a hematologist/medical oncologist with special interests in treating GI and thoracic malignancies, in addition to various other types of cancers and blood disorders. He served as the Chief Fellow during his fellowship training at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ. He aims to provide comprehensive, compassionate and dedicated care to his patients. In his free time, he loves to read about history and cultural studies and listen to music.

Shelby Kerns is board-certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She completed her PA training at Bryant University in Rhode Island. Shelby joined the Praxair Cancer Center in September of 2023. She provides comprehensive care to each patient throughout their surgical course. In her free time, Shelby enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her friends and family.
