Dr. Gallagher completed her undergraduate education at Fordham University, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Anthropology. She spent time working in clinical research at Yale School of Medicine before matriculating at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a General Surgery Residency at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA, followed by a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. Dr. Gallagher specializes in the care of patients needing emergency general surgery, those injured in traumatic incidents and patients requiring critical care related to surgical conditions. She is originally from Connecticut and is enthusiastic about providing quality surgical care and giving back to the communities in which she grew up.

Dr. Ahasic is a board-certified pulmonary and critical care medicine specialist who treats patients ages 18+. She also has advanced training in occupational and environmental medicine and a master_x2019_s degree in public health. She believes in the value of detailed patient histories andξconsidering environmental factors and their effects on patient health. She provides comprehensive care in a warm and welcoming environment. Dr. Ahasic serves as chief of pulmonary and critical care medicine at Norwalk Hospital, as well as serving as the medical director of pulmonary rehabilitation. She is also active nationally in her work with the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Chest Physicians. Dr. Ahasic received an Inspiration Award from the American Medical Association in 2019.
