History
Brasserie Beck, named after Chef/Owner Robert Wiedmaier's, 2nd born son, is the second restaurant opened by Wiedmaier. After opening his first white-tablecloth restaurant, Marcel's, he knew he always wanted to open a more casual, bistro style to reflect the heartier side of his Belgian hertiage. Wiedmaier's father was born and raised in Antwerp and Chef's mother was an amazing home-cook who enjoyed shopping the European markets with her son. Wiedmaier apprenticed at several Michelin star restaurants and attended culinary school in Holland before coming to the states.
