Gerard Gioia, PhD

Andrew Campbell, MD is the Director of the Comprehensive Sickle Cell Disease Program at Children's National Hospital. His research interests span several topics in sickle cell disease including pulmonary complications, fetal hemoglobin switching in transgenic sickle cell mice, phenotype/genotype relationships and renal complications.

Rahul Shah, MD, FAAP is a pediatric otolaryngologist and Senior Vice President for the Children’s National Hospital-Based Specialties Center He is an active clinical researcher with interests in pediatric voice disorders, resource utilization and outcomes, and medical errors. Dr. Shah is recognized as a leader in patient safety and quality improvement within Otolaryngology and is active within theamerican Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery with these initiatives. His clinical interests include the broad realm of pediatric otolaryngology.

Priya Vaidyanathan, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist who has been on the staff of the Children's National Hospital since December 2005 soon after completing her pediatric endocrinology fellowship. She is the Director of the Thyroid Nodule and Cancer Program and Associate Director, Endocrinology Fellowship. She provides clinical care to patients with diverse endocrine needs, and her research interest is in the field of thyroid disorders.
