Founded in 1980, National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems is one of the leading metropolitan hospitals and health systems in the United States. Based in Washington, D.C., the association represents safety net hospitals and health systems of the United States. In addition to functioning as the national health insurance system, it provides a wide variety of community-wide services, such as primary care, trauma care and neonatal-intensive care. It also offers training for doctors, nurses and other health care professionals.
