A hidden gem all artist and craft supplies you can think of. They were a little low on embroidery thread but that seems to be the case in many places. Nice service.

Plaza Artist Materials has been serving artists since the summer of 1960 when Rubin Zelenko and business partner Hy Boss opened the first Plaza store on 58th Street in New York City, in an apartment building aptly named "The Picasso." Unparalleled customer service was as much a priority then as it is today. The owners prided themselves on the Plaza promise to deliver art supplies anywhere in Manhattan within an hour, no matter how big or small the order. Through the mid-1980s, Plaza focused on providing supplies to commercial customers in the New York tri-state area.

This store has a lovely manager and great materials BUT today I had a super negative interaction with one associate: he was dismissive of my questions and implied I couldn't afford framing...

Great service! Despite a cracked painting, the team discounted the cost of stretching my painting and explained the reason. Frustrated that it's cracked but thankful for the kind service.

Just an all-around good small art supply store. Even though they're small, their products are of the highest quality and the helpfulness of the employees was nice.
