Alan Albert Lewin, MD

William Davis, III, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Baptist Health, specializing in sports medicine. He speaks English and conversational Spanish.Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2023, Dr. Davis worked for the Musculoskeletal Institute at Duly Health and Care as an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon. He served as the academic lead for Duly Health Care’s Sports Medicine group and as the head team physician and medical director for North Central College Athletics.After earning his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Davis completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. He then continued his education with his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Baptist Health Doctors Hospital UHZ Sports Medicine Institute and a foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Baptist Health Orthopedic Institute.In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Davis is a faculty instructor at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. His research on improving outcomes for sports-related injuries can be found in peer-reviewed publications such as Current Orthopaedic Practice and Foot and Ankle Clinics. Dedicated to whole-patient health, Dr. Davis offers comprehensive treatments and postoperative care to help people get back to their busy lives. He takes time to listen and review his patients’ concerns and collaborates with them to create recovery plans that reflect their goals. Outside of work, Dr. Davis enjoys skiing, golfing, reading and spending time with his family.

Barbara Hassanzadeh, APRN, is a certified nurse practitioner at Baptist Health Primary Care. She cares for adults with chronic conditions, including diabetes, anxiety and depression. She speaks English and Spanish. Prior to joining Baptist Health Primary Care in 2012, Barbara worked in private practice with Internal Medicine Physicians as a nurse practitioner. Shes worked at the same internal medicine office since 1982, providing years of reliable, compassionate care for her patients, with the practice acquired by Baptist Health in 2012.In 2016, she won the Baptist Health Medical Group Nurse Practitioner of the Year Award in recognition of her quality care and dedication to improving her patients health.Barbara is passionate about helping patients feel better. She enjoys helping people and teaching them how to better care for their minds and bodies. Barbaras care philosophy is to listen closely to her patients to discover what they truly need. She offers personalized care that fits their lifestyle and needs.In her free time, Barbara loves to travel and learn about other cultures.

Minesh Mehta, M.D., is a renowned expert in radiation oncology, proton therapy and cancer research and serves as deputy director and the John and Mary Lou Dasburg Endowed Chair in Radiation Oncology at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute, chief of Radiation Oncology at Baptist Health, and chair of the Department of Oncological Sciences at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Mehta received his medical degree with highest honors from the University of Zambia School of Medicine. He completed a residency at the University of Wisconsin, where he was later appointed chairman of the medical school’s Department of Human Oncology. As part of his leadership efforts, Dr. Mehta directed research studies, technology development and the expansion at the University of Wisconsin Cancer Center. He also directed its brain tumor program for more than 15 years, leading to his national leadership role in clinical trial research. Dr. Mehta has designed and led numerous national and international clinical studies, receiving National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute grants and winning honors for his research in brain and central nervous system tumors. He helped launch and was the medical director of the Maryland Proton Treatment Center in Baltimore, prior to joining Baptist Health. Dr. Mehta is board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology and in neuro-oncology by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. He has held national leadership positions in numerous organizations, including the American Board of Radiology, the FDA Radiological Devices Panel, the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Society of Neuro-Oncology. An avid researcher, Dr. Mehta provides a multidisciplinary, innovative approach to individual care and helps all his patients understand their diagnosis, available treatment options and potential clinical trials
