Alfred I Du Pont Middle School

Located in Jacksonville, Fla., San Jose Catholic School is a learning center that provides educational services and imparts Christian values and beliefs. It enrolls more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade eight. The institution employs a staff of over 20 classroom teachers, as well as instructional aides and a guidance counselor. San Jose Catholic School conducts classes in English, math, science and social studies. It also offers instruction in music and maintains a media center. The institution has a computer laboratory with nearly 35 workstations. The lower school comprises of prekindergarten through grade two and the upper school includes third through sixth grades. The school is accredited with the National Association of Episcopal Schools and the National Association of Independent Schools. The various subjects include language arts, mathematics, algebra, science, social studies, physical education, music, fine arts, foreign language and computer technology. In addition, it provides drama, instrumental music classes and gymnastics lessons. It also provides Christian education, including a chapel, fruits of the spirit character education, community services and student council. San Jose Episcopal Day School has a wide range of extracurricular activities that include after school enrichment programs, competitive programs of soccer and basketball and scouting.
