Angel Rodolfo Alejandro, MD

Dulce Blanco, D.O., is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Baptist Health. She is fluent in English and Spanish. Specializing in primary care, Dr. Blanco provides general and preventive health services for adult and geriatric patients. She diagnoses and treats a range of acute and chronic conditions. Prior to her current internal medicine role, Dr. Blanco worked as a hospitalist at Baptist Health Medical Group for 13 years. Dr. Blanco earned her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, N.Y. She then completed her internal medicine residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. With a lifelong passion for helping people, Dr. Blanco strives to positively impact each of her patients’ lives. Through personalized care grounded in empathy and warmth, she supports her patients as they navigate all phases of their health. Outside of work, Dr. Blanco enjoys spending quality time with her family.

Robert Press, M.D., is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Baptist Health, specializing in treating central nervous system tumors and thoracic malignancies.Before joining Baptist Health in 2023, Dr. Press was a radiation oncologist at New York Proton Center, serving as the disease site lead for both central nervous system tumors and head and neck cancers. During this time, he also served as assistant clinical professor at Mt. Sinai Hospital and as a visiting investigator for the Department of Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.After earning his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine, Dr. Press completed his radiation oncology residency at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, where he also served as chief resident. During his residency, he was named the Andrew W. Pippas Resident in Radiation Oncology, an honor selected by the faculty for a resident who exemplifies professional and compassionate patient care.Dr. Press has extensive experience using proton therapy and other advanced radiation techniques to treat challenging tumors, including re-treatment of patients who previously received radiation therapy. He has developed numerous clinical trials and published more than 60 scientific publications.Dr. Press considers it a privilege to help people through the most challenging times of their lives. He is grateful to be able to meet people in these moments and care for them with compassion, humility and grace.In his free time, Dr. Press enjoys traveling and staying active, including hiking, running, sailing and spending time with family and friends.

Horacio Asbun, M.D., is a surgical oncologist specializing in treating liver cancer, gallbladder cancer, biliary system cancer and pancreatic cancer and diseases. He is chief of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. Prior to this role, he served as director of the Hepatobiliary and Pancreas program and chairman of General Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla. He is fluent in English and Spanish.Dr. Asbun is actively involved in clinical research to improve treatment efficacy and patient outcomes. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 110 peer-reviewed surgical videos and 35 book chapters. He also serves as editor-in-chief of the American College of Surgeons Multimedia Atlas of Surgery and reviewer for numerous scientific journals. He directs and teaches national courses on surgery and speaks frequently at scientific conferences around the world, with more than 410 presentations to date. He also serves on the boards and committees of several national and international professional societies.He is a member of the American Surgical Association, American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and more. At a 2022 American College of Surgeons meeting in Bolivia, he was awarded a Doctor Honoris Causa of UDABOL.
