Dr. Yolanda Jones is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She graduated with her bachelor?s degree in biology from Kennesaw State University in Georgia. She received her medical degree from St. Matthew?s University School of Medicine in the Grand Caymans, and she completed the OB/GYN residency program ? including training in obstetrical trauma and high risk pregnancies ? through St. Joseph's Hospital and Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Jones comes to Sacred Heart with nine years of experience as a practicing OB/GYN, including with Coastal OB/GYN in Panama City, Riverview Family Clinic in Wisconsin, and Gulf Coast Women?s Center in Foley, Alabama. Dr. Jones also served as medical director of Rejuvenation Med Spa in Orange Beach, Alabama, and she worked for two years as an OB hospitalist at Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola. Dr. Charles Mayes is an interventional cardiologist who obtained his bachelor?s degree and medical degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He performed his residency training in internal medicine at The University of Texas at Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, and served as chief resident from 1998-1999. He then trained for three years in general cardiology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. He remained at Duke for fellowship training in interventional cardiology and congenital heart diseases. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology and has practiced for the past 10 years in Panama City, Lafayette, La., and most recently in Hattiesburg, Miss. His professional interests include interventional procedures to restore blood flow to coronary arteries and peripheral arteries, management of hypertension and cholesterol, heart valve disease, and peripheral vascular disease.
