The office is also prepares notices for public hearings and ordinance advertisements. The city government operates a police department that provides education and information solutions for proactive crime awareness purposes. Its public works department processes a range of permit applications. In addition, the city government has a department that offers fire protection and basic emergency medical services. The department installs smoke detectors and child safety seats.
