Timothy O’Connor, M.D., is a neurological surgeon and the director of minimally invasive surgery and robotic spine surgery at Marcus Neuroscience Institute, part of Baptist Health. Dr. O’Connor specializes in minimally invasive, robotic and complex deformity surgery. Prior to joining Marcus Neuroscience Institute in 2021, Dr. O’Connor completed a neurological surgery residency at the University at Buffalo, where he was chief resident. He attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate education, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in neurobiological sciences. He received his medical degree from the University of Florida, where he graduated with honors in research and honors in academic excellence. During medical school, he was invited to join the University of Florida College of Medicine admissions committee and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.
