HistoryIn 1994, Jerry Goodwin started Jerry's Handy Service, Inc as a part time income source while still employed with TECO. As the years pasted he developed more and more passion for home improvements and restoration. In 2001, TECO gave a pay cut to many of the veterans within the company and Jerry was one of them. He decided at that time he who invest in himself full-time. So, Jerry borrow money from his own retirement fund and became a full-time entrepreneur improving and restoring homes. In 2004, Jerry placed a small ad in the paper. This small ad caught the attention of Tampa Hillsborough Action Plan. Inc Weatherization Director and they called Jerry for a meeting to become a contractor for the organization which, broaden Jerry's client base. In 2009, Jerry was contacted by American Project & Repair to become a vendor on their projects, In 2011, American Homes contacted Jerry. In 2014, Jerry has 5 employees and still growing.
