Boca Ciega Yacht Club is a sail club located in Gulfport, Fla. The club organizes a variety of events and activities for city visitors and its members. It has more than 75 boats, and a range of slips and docks. Boca Ciega Yacht Club has a membership of more than 160 people. The club s members organize various meetings, cruises, races, parties and informative programs. It also operates a sailing school that enrolls more than 170 students every year and conducts eight-week sessions twice a year. Boca Ciega Yacht Club offers several basic sailing programs by trained professionals. Its programs include instruction on rigging the sails of small boats, assessing wind, sailing away from the dock, performing tacking, and jibing and trimming sails. The club also offers a youth sailing program.
