Distractions On The Island

Welcome to Distractions on the Island. We bring art entertainment to AMI’s locals and visitors year-round. Distractions is a ceramics art studio where we offer Paint Your Own Pottery and Canvas Painting daily! When you are on island time, you can have fun every day of the week. Therefore, Distractions on the Island (DOTI for short) is open 7 days a week, except for major holidays. How does DOTI work? No reservations needed during normal operating hours just walk into the studio, choose your project and have fun! We have several ceramic pieces to choose from and an array of beautiful glazes to paint with. Choose your piece, paint it, and leave it. We will fire it in our kiln, and it will be available to be picked up or shipped within 7 days, typically within 3-4 days. Prefer to paint canvas? Choose a canvas design, trace the template, follow the instructions, and Tada! You are practically Pablo Picasso! DOTI offers To-Go options as well! Pick out your project, your glazes/paints, and brushes, then paint back at your place. Visit our website to see the events we host or to schedule one of our party packages for larger groups. Groups of 8 or more covet our after-hours reservations. Choose from one of two time slots, 6pm-8pm or 8pm-10pm, and rent out the studio for a private event. Whatever you are celebrating, allow DOTI to provide your art entertainment! DOTI is conveniently located in Holmes Beach close to trolley stops heading north and south.
