Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida

Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida is one of the largest multi-specialty primary health care provider groups in southern Florida. The center serves patients with eight medical offices in the greater Lee County area. It offers comprehensive primary and preventive health care in the specialties of family practice, obstetrics and gynecology, and pediatrics. The health center also provides dental, mammography, x-ray, pharmacy, social services and transportation services. Family Health Centers is a founding partner in Health Choice Network, a formalized network of community health centers that integrated with hospitals and health care systems in Southern Florida and is also a member of the Florida Association of Community Health Centers. The organization was founded in 1964 as a special program in the Lee County Health Department and incorporated as a nonprofit private health care corporation in 1977. It is headquartered in Fort Myers, Fla.
