Highland City Elementary School

Established in 2006, the South McKeel Elementary Academy is a charter school that serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers various academic and extracurricular services for students. It also provides classes in history, math, science, language arts and social studies. The South McKeel Elementary Academy additionally offers lessons in music and physical education. The school conducts various sports activities that include jumping, overhand throwing, catching, kicking and other games. Crystal Lake Middle School provides educational and extracurricular programs to develop intellectual, aesthetic, physical, social, moral and emotional characteristics of students in grades six through eight. Located in Lakeland, Fla., the school serves approximately 600 students. Crystal Lake Middle School offers membership for various organizations, such as the National Junior Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The school has a library and media center that houses a collection of reference materials, encyclopedias, atlases, newspapers, magazines, and fiction and nonfiction books. Its core curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, science, English and social studies. Crystal Lake Middle School is a part of Polk County Public Schools.
