Ileana's professional journey continued after her decision to migrate to the United States. She pursued and successfully completed a nursing degree in Miami, Florida, subsequently working as an inpatient mental health Registered Nurse within hospital settings. Over the course of several years, she further developed her career and obtained certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, specializing in mental health.
