Johns Hopkins All Children's Obstetrics & Gynecology Program

Dr. Chase is an obstetrician-gynecologist in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. She joined the hospital staff in 2021 and sees patients at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Center for Women and Babies and HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital. Dr. Chase earned her medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where she won numerous teaching awards and was the recipient of the Ann E. Seward Memorial Scholarship for outstanding research. Dr. Chase is the associate medical Director of OBGYN Simulation at the Johns Hopkins Center for Medical Simulation and Innovative Education where she founded the OBGYN Simulation program. Her program consists of over 20 novel, interdisciplinary simulations that are used to train OBGYN physicians in procedural skills, interpersonal communication and complex resuscitations. Her work has allowed her to publish innovative, award-winning curriculum at the local, regional and national levels and has been the recipient of grant funding. Dr. Chase currently serves as core faculty for the Bayfront OBGYN Residency program where she enjoys mentoring young OBGYN physicians. Her academic work has allowed her a promotion to assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Dr. Devanesan has practiced in the St. Petersburg area for 10 years and has been active in graduate medical education training at local hospitals. A graduate of the University of South Florida College of Medicine and its residency program in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Devanesan received the Overall Outstanding Teaching Resident Award for 2000. She joined OB/GYN Associates (now Johns Hopkins All Children's Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialists) in 2001. Dr. Devanesan is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She also is an active member of the American Medical Association and the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Her areas of special interest include minimally invasive surgery (including DaVinci robotic procedures), urogynecology and adolescent gynecology.

Dr. Schmitz specializes in obstetrics and gynecology for Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she joined the medical staff in 2025. She previously was an OB/GYN physician in Sarasota. She is originally from Buffalo, N.Y., where she practiced for several years after residency. Dr. Schmitz earned her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, where she served as chief resident and earned the Robert J. LaMagra Award, recognizing exceptional empathy and compassion for her patients.  Her clinical interests include minimally invasive robotic surgery, menopause management and infertility.
