HistoryCaptain Bruce began his offshore sailing adventures in 1988. He left southern California to sail to Mexico for a year, but that turned into 4 years. He spent the next decade sailing the Pacific coast of North and Central America, continuing through the Panama Canal. He returned the US and sailed the Great Lakes until 2005. It was that year that Bruce was awarded his US Coast Guard Master's Captain's License. He sailed Florida and the Bahamas until 2008 when he was hired to run a sailing charter vessel in the Florida Sea Base program. Captain Bruce continued as a hired captain until early 2011 when he purchased BAREFOOT and ran her for Florida Sea Base.
