in 1971 meyer gorin graduated from the universidad de los andes in bogotá, colombia s.a. with a degree in architecture. he began his practice in bogotá designing and supervising many projects, which ranged from industrial factories to entire communities. in 1978, meyer moved to the united states, and has been a registered architect in florida (r.a. # 9700) since 1983. arkidesign inc. is a florida registered corporation and has been in business since 1986. instead of devoting all his time and efforts into just an architectural firm, he decided to create a construction company to transform his designs into realities. this company, known as sila construction, works both in conjunction and independently from arkidesign inc. as of 1997, meyer gorin and arkidesign inc. have completed over 400 projects in the united states and the rest of the world. the two are constantly looking for new projects and developing their new ideas into realities.
