Our firm was founded in 1976 by Thomas M. Bizzell, who remains the managing partner. Several of our senior personnel have experience with national CPA firms. The guiding principles underlining the operations of the firm have always been to provide a quality product in a reasonable time and to maintain good communications with clients. Although our firm has grown substantially over the last 33 years, growth has never been the primary goal of the organization. Our firm does not advertise or actively market its services to the general public. Most of its new clients are from referrals by existing clients, bankers, insurance and surety agents and attorneys. Quality control has always been intregal to the operations of our firm. Our firm has participated in the peer review process of the Florida Institute of CPA's since 1990, having undergone 7 onsite peer reviews, all with clean opinions and no comments. In order to maintain good relationships, our firm believes it is essential to keep continuity of personnel in dealing with clients. 5 of the 12 professional staff have 20 or more years with the firm and the firm professional staff has a combined 200+ years of accounting, auditing, tax and consulting experience. Our support staff averages 14 years with our firm. With the establishment of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan in 2001, our firm became the first employee owned Certified Public Accounting firm in the State of Florida. Our staff is taught to be responsive to a client's wants and needs and to approach them with zeal.
