Luis Alfredo Rodriguez, MD

William Davis, III, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Baptist Health, specializing in sports medicine. He speaks English and conversational Spanish.Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2023, Dr. Davis worked for the Musculoskeletal Institute at Duly Health and Care as an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon. He served as the academic lead for Duly Health Care’s Sports Medicine group and as the head team physician and medical director for North Central College Athletics.After earning his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Davis completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. He then continued his education with his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Baptist Health Doctors Hospital UHZ Sports Medicine Institute and a foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Baptist Health Orthopedic Institute.In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Davis is a faculty instructor at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. His research on improving outcomes for sports-related injuries can be found in peer-reviewed publications such as Current Orthopaedic Practice and Foot and Ankle Clinics. Dedicated to whole-patient health, Dr. Davis offers comprehensive treatments and postoperative care to help people get back to their busy lives. He takes time to listen and review his patients’ concerns and collaborates with them to create recovery plans that reflect their goals. Outside of work, Dr. Davis enjoys skiing, golfing, reading and spending time with his family.

Maria Kyriacou, M.D., is a primary care sports medicine physician at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. Dr. Kyriacou specializes in non-surgical treatments for acute, overuse and chronic orthopedic problems. She has a special interest in sports-related injuries, joint arthritis, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided procedures. During her fellowship training, Dr. Kyriacou was involved in stem cell, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and amniotic regenerative orthobiologic therapy. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Greek. During her fellowship, Dr. Kyriacou was part of the medical team for the Miami Dolphins, Florida International University, St. Thomas University and Barry University. She currently serves as a team physician for Florida International University. In 2019, Dr. Kyriacou was named Resident Teacher of the Year at Phoebe Health. She has also presented at a number of sports medicine conferences and meetings.Dr. Kyriacou served as the medical director for the Sneakers Marathon in Albany, Georgia in 2018 and as the event physician for Escape to Miami and Lifetime Miami Marathon in 2019. Dr. Kyriacou provides exceptional patient care by treating her patients as if they were family. She strives to listen to each patient to determine the best approach to treatment. When she is not treating patients, Dr. Kyriacou enjoys traveling, playing soccer, kayaking, running and spending time with her family.

Charles M. Lawrie, M.D., M.Sc. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. He is a high-volume expert in robotic and minimally invasive anterior approach hip replacement, robotic-assisted partial knee replacement, robotic total knee replacement and anterior approach hip resurfacing. He also performs revision hip and knee surgery. Dr. Lawrie routinely performs these advanced joint replacement procedures using state-of-the-art imaging, planning software and intraoperative technology to optimize implant positioning, alignment and soft tissue balance. These techniques allow him to deliver personalized, data-driven care that supports faster recovery, improved joint function and long-term durability for a wide range of patients. A national leader in anterior approach hip replacement, Dr. Lawrie serves as the president of the Anterior Hip Foundation, a global organization advancing innovation, education and surgical excellence in anterior hip arthroplasty. He has performed more than 1,500 anterior approach total hip replacements and is among a select group of surgeons offering anterior approach hip resurfacing — an advanced bone-preserving option for younger, active patients. An award-winning researcher and orthopedic innovator, Dr. Lawrie has contributed to the design and development of hip and knee implants and surgical technologies now used worldwide. He is an active leader in clinical research and surgical education, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and regular presentations at major orthopedic conferences. His research has been recognized with honors including the RAND Young Investigator Award from American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the Mark B. Coventry Award from the Knee Society.
