Miami-Dade County Public Schools Plant Operations is responsible for providing cleaning and sanitation services in the district s facilities and buildings. The department serves students, faculty members and visitors. It develops custodial standards and procedures, as well as conducts inspections. In addition, the department performs allocation surveys and offers job assignment reviews. It provides training solutions. Plant Operations is a part of District Inspections, Operations, and Emergency Management (DIOEM), which is responsible for implementing various policies regarding safety, energy usage, indoor air quality, and environmental and emergency management. The office is governed by Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS), which operates elementary, middle and high schools.
