Griffin Middle School
Griffin Middle School, located in Tallahassee, Fla., and founded in 1920, is a private boarding institution owned by the Primitive Baptist Church of Florida. The school is affiliated to the Leon County Schools District and has more than 700 students in grades six through eight. It school offers various educational and cocurricular programs, such as mathematics, science, language arts, social studies and business education. Griffin Middle School also offers family and consumer science, industrial technology education, chorus, band and art classes. The school provides an advisement program that assists teachers helping students build positive self-esteem, develop decision-making skills and supplement academic and social achievement.
