Miami Lakes Middle School

Miami Lakes Middle School enrolls more than 1,000 students in grades six through eight and offers a range of educational programs. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as reading, writing, mathematics, science, fine arts, foreign languages, vocational education and social studies. The school also offers instruction in business technology, home and family consumer science, graphic communications and computer science. It additionally offers the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. Miami Lakes Middle School provides guidance counseling to students. The school s TRUST Program is a comprehensive student assistance program that is designed to provide prevention, intervention, referral and follow-up services to students and their families experiencing problems in the areas of substance abuse and other destructive behaviors. Located in Miami Lakes, Fla., the middle school is a part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
