Micanopy Modern

History

Micanopy Modern grew out of owner Glenn Albin's lifelong interaction with contemporary art and modern design. Albin spent 8 New York years working for Andy Warhol's Interview magazine, cable TV show (AWTV) and studio, and in that time was exposed to the greatest artists, designers, stylists and tastemakers of the era. In the years that followed, he wrote for Conde Nast's House & Garden magazine, and went on to direct editorial for the most influential publications in Miami and Las Vegas. During this time, he was influenced by the those he profiled, including David Bailey, Bruce Weber, Massimo Vignelli, Morris Lapidus and Zaha Hadid.
