Peace River Center in Bartow, Fla., is a private, nonprofit, community mental health organization. It has been providing Polk, Hardee and Highlands counties with mental and behavioral health care services for more than 50 years. Funding for services and programs come from various sources. PRC also accepts many third-party insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid, and in some cases, offers services on a sliding-scale fee basis.
