Here he is focused on taking care of cancer patients and is also the Program Director of the General Surgery Residency program where he leads the training of the next generation of surgeons. Dr. Misra earned his medical degree in India. He completed a general surgery internship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and a general surgery residency at Fairview Hospital Cleveland Clinic Health System in Cleveland, where he served as the Chief Resident. Dr. Misra then completed a surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. He additionally holds a Master's Degree in Health Systems Management from Rush University in Chicago. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Certified Wound Specialists. He has been published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at numerous clinical conferences. He enjoys a busy life with his wife and their two daughters. During his spare time, Dr. Misra enjoys reading, sports, and has a passion for quality improvement, leadership, and understanding human behavior.
