A few years ago, Florida's lawmakers passed a law that allows certain baked goods to be produced in a home kitchen (providing that certain requirements are met). All Cookie Kitchen baked goods are home made in my kitchen. Lots of love and care go into the baking, using only fresh, quality ingredients. For years, I've baked cakes, pies, cupcakes etc, always bringing them into the office to share. Numerous times, I've heard that I'm in the wrong business (I'm a graphic designer by trade). Although, with no formal business classes or even cake decorating classes under my belt, quitting my job to start a bakery is a scary thought.
