Bay Area Electric & Refrigeration, based in Tampa, Fla., is a construction and service company that serves supermarkets, convenience stores and restaurants. The company provides installation and maintenance of air conditioning, refrigeration systems, ice machines, lobster tanks, electrical systems, checkouts, ovens, deli bakery equipment, energy management and general maintenance. It has been in business for more than 24 years, and is a subsidiary of Anchor Tampa, a multiservice company servicing the retail industry. Anchor, founded in 1979, employs more than 150 people, and maintains over 70 vehicles. Its subsidiaries include Anchor construction, Fixture Craft Division, Supermarket Services of Tennessee, and Anchor Yacht Services. Anchor Construction is a building contractor, specializing in minor and major remodels, and new construction and design. Fixture Craft Division is a custom fixture manufacturing company, specializing in the design and fabrication of all types of store fixtures, utilizing a wide variety of materials, including wood, plastic laminate, glass, aluminum and stainless steel.
