Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is home to one of the few Sports Medicine Programs in the country dedicated exclusively to the care of young athletes. Our physical therapists offer specialized rehabilitation services and treatment that is personalized based on needs, emotional state and sport. We treat kids and teens with a wide range of sports-related injuries and conditions and are dedicated to returning young athletes to their sport as safely and quickly as possible. Children's Sports Physical Therapy is a department of Children's at Scottish Rite Hospital.

Dr. Michael Busch is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. He founded the Sports Medicine Program at Children’s and provides program leadership as the Sports Medicine Surgical Director as well as Medical Director of the Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship Program at Children's. Dr. Busch has special interest in sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, ACL injuries in young athletes, and osteochondritis dissecans. His primary office is at Children's at Meridian Mark in Atlanta with an additional clinic in Cumming.

Dr. Clifton Willimon is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. He serves as the Medical Director for the Atlanta United Academy team and team physician for the Atlanta United First Team. He specializes in sports medicine, cartilage preservation, and arthroscopic hip reconstruction. His special interests are arthroscopic surgery of the hip, complex knee ligament reconstruction, shoulder dislocation, and sports injuries. His primary office is at Children's at Meridian Mark in Atlanta with additional clinics in Athens and Duluth.
