Country's Barbecue hosted the 25th Annual Midnight Express in 2005. The race was held to support the visually impaired of Columbus, Ga. Country s Barbecue offers a variety of platters, plates and sandwiches with an emphasis on barbecue. Pork, ribs, chicken, ham and turkey are the varieties of meats the restaurant smokes. Light bread, corn bread or French bread are served along with the platters. Country s Barbecue side-items menu includes stew, baked beans, chili, cole slaw, potato salad, tossed salad, black-eyed peas, sweet taters, French fries, pickles, onions, cabbage, sliced tomatoes, apples, butter beans, potato chips and corn on the cob. Founded in 1975, Country's Barbecue operates four restaurants in Columbus, Ga., as well as franchises in Montgomery, Prattville, Troy and Auburn, Ala.
