Metro Atlanta Recovery Residences, established in 1973, provides community-based rehabilitation services to adults with alcoholic addiction and chemical dependency. Located in Doraville, Ga., It offers long-term residential treatment and substance abuse assessment to its residents. It provides psychiatric consultation and psychological evaluation, occupational therapies, podiatry, dentistry and pharmacy services for its patients. It offers a family program, which includes educational lectures and group discussion on the disease of addiction. It has an outpatient mental health counseling center providing evaluation, intervention, and therapeutic services for substance abuse and psychological difficulties. Additionally, it has a women s residential treatment center, specializing in treatment for mothers with addictive diseases, and an outpatient program for people suffering from eating disorders. All its operations are approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
