Based in Columbus, Ga., the New Horizons Community Service Board is a nonprofit organization providing mental health, developmental disability and addictive diseases services. It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. It also offers its services for the citizens of west central Georgia. The organization provides a variety of other services that include adult mental health, alcohol, drug and substance abuse, child and adolescent problems, developmental disorders, emergency and correctional services. It provides its consumers with research-based therapies and programs. In addition, the New Horizons Community Service Board provides various pharmacological and multimodal therapies with emphasis on assisting patients in enhancing their internal motivation for achieving and maintaining maximum psychological functioning and recovery.
