The College Park Police Department provides crime prevention and law enforcement services to the city of College Park, Ga. It has a crime investigations division that handles cases, including suspicious and violent deaths, attempted rape, assaults with serious injuries, robbery, burglary, child abuse, kidnapping, bombing and theft. The department also has a uniform patrol division that includes traffic and marijuana identification units. In addition, the College Park Police Department has an honor guard unit and Special Weapons and Tactics team. It also operates an internal affairs unit that investigates departmental cases of criminal activities, sexual harassment and racial discrimination.
