Southeastern Community Blood Center, a member of the National Marrow Donor Program, is a full-service blood center that offers blood donation programs and services. It is a nonprofit organization that collects blood from local volunteer donors. It performs various duties, including blood processing from recruiting donors, drawing blood from donors, testing for infectious diseases, processing into therapeutic components and testing blood compatibility for specific patients. The blood center is governed by a volunteer board of directors and employs a team of trained professionals and donor technicians. It is licensed by the Federal Food and Drug Administration, the American Association of Blood Banks and the Florida Association of Blood Banks.
