A Different Model from the Start In 1981, Moore Colson’s first office included a staff of two professionals, one book-keeper and one receptionist. Greg Colson and Jack Moore set out to create a CPA firm that provided traditional accounting and consulting services for closely held businesses, but also a CPA firm that was different. They looked beyond the typical “book of business” model of most accounting firms. Knowing that they would bring more value to their clients by operating as a true partnership, they founded a consultative firm that put their clients in the center of all they collectively had to offer.
