Points of Light

Hands On Atlanta, founded in 1989, is a nonprofit organization that helps individuals, families, corporations and community groups find flexible volunteer services for various social service organizations and schools. The organization offers its services in schools, parks, senior homes, food banks, pet shelters and low-income neighborhoods. It is affiliated with Hands On Network association, and offers a wide range of services, such as adult literacy and education, aids support services, animal support, arts and sciences, children and teens program and computer education. It also offers conservation, disability services, family and women's services, seniors services, health and wellness services, homelessness and meal services and painting, renovation and repair services. Its members serve as teaching assistants, tutors, mentors and volunteer coordinators. It is headquartered in Atlanta.
